Hands of Time a Highlight
SCONE High School held another successful Antique Fair on the weekend and this year also featured a quilt show.
A highlight of the opening night were the three antique clocks dating back to the 1850’s which were donated by local resident Peter Bishop.
See photo gallery below.
One clock was part of a raffle and the other two were auctioned for $450 and $390 each.
Kath Meier, president of the Scone High School Parents and Community Committee said while it is only the second year they have held the event, it was a great fundraiser for the school.
“We have antique dealers from throughout the state and a furniture dealer has traveled from Victoria,” said Ms Meier.
“There is a really good range of antiques here and each year we’d like to continue to make the event bigger,” she said.
“This year we have the quilt display and the work that has gone into them is amazing and definitely worth a look,” she said.
“We have lots of people drop by over the weekend, it is the main fundraiser for the school and we hope the event will continue to grow,” Kath Meier said.
