Garden Christmas in July
By Leah Marchant
LAST month the Scone and District Garden Club enjoyed a fabulous ‘Christmas in July’ luncheon at Carmen’s Restaurant, with more than 40 members attending to see Del Smith, one of out founding members presented with the Garden Club Australia Medallion.
We are going to have to find bigger venues!
Without Del’s passion, we would not exist today and truly owe her a debt of gratitude.

We loved Kerr Groves’ garden quiz, although she had some of us stumped at times….those that trumped the horticulural challenge were rewarded with luxury gardeners blam and assorted goodies.
Next month is our Annual General Meeting.
This will be help on August 17 at 10am in the Country Women’s Association rooms on Kelly Street.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet the members, I have met and made wonderful friends in this short time and truly feel embraced by our Scone community.
It’s a fabulous opportunity.
