First Pledge for the Neighbourhood
CRESSFIELD Stud has made the first pledge for the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre’s fundraising night.
The Neighbourhood Centre is raising money to buy its own building.
Wayne Bedggood, manager of Cressfield Stud has pledged a day at the stud and at a local race day.
“The winner will be able to spend half a day at Cressfield being shown our operations during breeding season,” said Mr Bedggood.
“It is a two hour tour and then we will have morning tea or lunch,” he said.
“We’ll also arrange for them to go to the Scone or Muswellbrook races, whichever is holding a race day at that time and have owners tickets for the day, so they can experience as an owner would,” he said.
“We hope it will be something people want to bid on and raise money for an organisation that delivers many services to our local community,” Wayne Bedggood said.
Lee Watts, manager of the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre said the first pledge towards their goal was great.
“The fundraising evening is not until the end of the year, but it is great to have the ball rolling with a great prize,” said Mrs Watts.
“Hopefully by Wayne breaking the ice others will be inspired to help by making a pledge to be auctioned on the evening,” she said.
“We are aiming to buy our own building to house our growing centre.
“It is a big goal, but this community has a big heart and with some hard work I am sure we will get there,” Lee Watts said.
