Fatal truck crash near Jerrys Plains

POLICE have confirmed a 56 year old man has died following a single-vehicle truck crash on the Golden Highway near Edderton Road, Jerrys Plains today.

Emergency services responded to the crash at approximately 11am however, upon arrival, officers from the Hunter Valley Police District found the male driver deceased at the scene.

The truck has extensive damage after it hit a barrier and rolled into an embankment.

The male is yet to be formally identified and police enquiries are continuing.

Live Traffic NSW has reported slowed traffic at the scene and have advised drivers to exercise caution, expect delays and allow extra travel time.
