Drug Raid: Aberdeen Man Named in Court
SIMON Irving, a 42-year-old man from Aberdeen has been named as the third man involved in an alleged drug manufacturing and distribution ring following a police raid at a Murrurundi residence on Friday, August 14.
Police found an alleged inactive clandestine lab at the premises and arrested Mr Irving the following day.
Mr Irving appeared in Muswellbrook Local Court today and is facing a charge of manufacture and produce illegal drugs, not less than large commercial quantity.
Prior to the Murrurundi raid, police stopped a white Nissan utility on Waterfall Way at Ebor and allegedly seized methylamphetamine, ammunition and chemicals used in the manufacture of prohibited drugs.
Wade Caslick and Noel Worth were arrested and taken to Armidale police station and have appeared in Armidale court today.
Mr Caslick, a 45-year-old man from Murrurundi, is facing a charge of manufacture and produce illegal drugs, not less than large commercial quantity, in relation to 724.1 grams of methalyamphetamine.
Mr Worth, a 47-year-old man from Billy’s Creek, faces the same charge in relation to 821.35 grams of methylamphetamine and also a charge of supply prohibited drug.
All three men were refused bail and are yet to enter pleas.
The matter for Mr Irving was adjourned until November 2, at Muswellbrook Local Court.
The matters of Mr Caslick and Mr Worth have been adjourned until December 4, at Armidale Court for mention.
