Covid-19: Local Test Results Are In!
THE Premier is calling on more people in New South Wales to be testing, aiming for 8,000 tests each day across the state.
In the Upper Hunter Shire Area only 226 people have been tested to date.
Testing is encouraged for people with even the mildest symptoms, such as a scratchy throat and testing will also begin on asymptomatic people who may be associated with someone with the disease.
The more tests conducted, the better any community transmission can be detected and the disease suppressed.
Today the government published an online map which provides statistics for the number of people with the disease and the number of people tested.
The Upper Hunter Shire area is doing very well, but more testing is needed: See statistics below.
Testing is available at the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scone during the week and on the weekend available at Muswellbrook Hospital. Please phone the hospital to make an appointment for the drive through clinic.
