The Cottage Stops Traffic

PEDESTRIANS and motorists alike stopped in their tracks this afternoon to look to the sky in Kelly Street.

The umbrella high in the sky over Kelly Street, escaping the Cottage.

What first appeared as a red kite flying accompanied by some overzealous enthusiasts darting across the highway to follow it, was actually a large shade umbrella taken by a freak gust of wind from the back garden of the Cottage restaurant and threatening to come crashing down into oncoming traffic.

The umbrella eventually came to rest in a tree at the local dentist and was then wrangled back home.
