Chance to Visit the Devils
IN January the Devil Ark will open it’s gates to visitors, giving the community the first opportunity since the conservation facility was established in 2011 to visit the Tasmanian devils and other threatened species.
From Tuesday, January 1 until Sunday, January 27 their doors will be open every day between 10am and 2pm with tours of the Ark scheduled at 10:30am, 11:30am and 12:30pm.
Visitors are guaranteed to see a Tasmanian devil in their natural habitat and an Eastern quoll on a tour.
Tim Faulkner, president of the Devil Ark said it is a huge milestone for the Ark.
“We have been running private tours for the past four years; however, we have never been open for passers-by to visit at their own leisure.
“To be officially opening for this limited time is really exciting for us and we can’t wait to share this experience with everyone.”
“We can guarantee that all of our visitors will personally be able to see our Tasmanian devils in their wild environments as well as our recently added Aussie Ark species, the Eastern quoll!”
There is no need to pre-book, visitors can simply arrive at the Ark.
