Cali closed until Wednesday
YESTERDAY, police officers closed the Caledonian Hotel in Singleton, for repeatedly breaching public health orders and allowing unvaccinated patrons into their business.
The business has proudly displayed signage stating they will continue to serve unvaccinated customers and defy public health orders.
On October 11, when businesses reopened, police issued a $1000 fine to a 57 year old male licencee and a 54 year old employee for being unvaccinated and a fine for not taking reasonable steps to ensure unvaccinated customers were at the business.
Since they have have issued a further three fines for non-compliance and finally yesterday an order to close.
The Caledonian will be allowed to reopen on Wednesday, October 20.
