Body Found In Merriwa House Fire

POLICE have confirmed a body has been located inside a Merriwa house, after it was fully engulfed in flames earlier today.

Emergency services were called to the property located on Mountain Station Road at approximately 9:15am this morning and worked for several hours to extinguish the blaze.

The body is yet to be formally identified and a Coroner report will be prepared.

Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
