Best Standard of Antiques Yet
THE organising committee of Scone Antiques and Collectibles Fair thought the drought may have impacted on this year’s fair, but they were surprised to see one of the busiest Saturday’s to date, said Kath Meier, president of the Scone High School parents and friends committee.

“It’s just beautiful when you see it all come together,” said Ms Meier.
“Lots of people wanted to get their car washed while they had a look through the Fair,” she said.
“It’s been great to have some new vendors as well as some old, it’s nice to mix it up with some different things.
“There is some antique Aboriginal jewellery which we’ve never had before and some of the pieces from Jodi are really unusual, so this year there were some great quality antiques.
“I think it was one of the best standards of antiques we’ve had.
“The drought I think may have had an impact, but then Saturday was the busiest we’ve seen.
“The students looked great dressed in their retro style and lots of people commented on that,” she said.
“The car wash worked really well and there were at least 40 or 50 cars washed, so that definitely worked well,” Kath Meier said.
