Arraignment in Sydney for Hutchinson Case
CATE Hutchinson was at Tamworth Court today on a charge of murdering her toddler Leonie Hutchinson, who was last seen in Scone in December 2001.
The matter was adjourned to the supreme court for trial and an arraignment is set for October 7 in Sydney, where Ms Hutchinson is required to enter a plea.
Ms Hutchinson was arrested on March 16 in Evans Head on the charge of murder, but released on bail on March 23 and first appeared in Tamworth court on May 24.
In 2003 the Department of Community and Family Services began to hold concerns for Leonie’s welfare when her mother Kate Hutchinson evaded questions regarding her whereabouts.
