Antique Fair Gathers No Moss
THE Scone High School Antiques and Collectibles Fair is on again this weekend and continues to attract vendors and collectors from far and wide.
Katherine Meier, president of the Scone High School Parents and Community Committee said there will be 12 vendors from throughout the state and one travelling from Queensland.
“There is a real mixture of antiques and collectibles, many vendors have been coming for years and some will be here for the first time,”
“There will be vintage jewellery, china, memorabilia, furniture, something to interest everyone and something in every price range,
This year there will be a spotlight on each vendor where they take the time to explain about restoration or their area of expertise.
The high school students and their parents will be providing the catering and this year have gone green.
They will be doing away with disposable plates and using mis-matched china.
“It’s a lovely idea to be able to have your quiche on a beautiful old china plate, it fits with being an antique fair and is better for the environment,”
The Fair will open on Friday night at 6pm.
