Our experience with CMobile:

Personally, I am coming out of a gruelling two-year contract with Telstra and having watched my business partner, Michael Flaherty, who escaped his Telstra contract much sooner, save up to two-thirds more on his mobile bill than I do.…I am looking forward to leaving Telstra behind!

So, we can personally speak from experience about going with CMobile, the highlights for us are:

• You keep your phone number when you change over;
• You are not locked into a long-term contract, it is simply month-by-month;
• CMobile uses the 3G and 4G Telstra mobile network – check the coverage;
• If you prefer the Vodafone network, they have Vodafone options as well;
• You can speak to an actual Australian, based in Australia when you call them and their service is fantastic.

We’ve also just ordered a SIM for our 12 year old daughter which is only $10.90 a month with 1 gig of data, which is perfect, if she goes through 1 gig of data she needs to get off the internet anyway. And with CMobile the data simply stops, unlike Telstra where you get charged extra for going over. If you do want some more data for that month, just give them a call. We won’t be doing that for her,  but she can still use the phone for unlimited calls and text messages.

If you are currently locked into a long term contract with another provider and can’t take advantage of changing over this month….you have my commiserations, but take heart at the end of your contract you know there is another option and can change to CMobile then.
