Men’s Health Van

IN May the Men’s Health Van will be coming to a town near you thanks to the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre’s Virtual Shed.

Belinda McKenzie, project officer for the Virtual Shed encourages local men to take five minutes to take advantage of a free health check.

“We invite all men to take five minutes from their day to have this very quick check-up conducted by a team of local nurses,” said Ms McKenzie.

“It could well be five minutes that is well spent, and could save your life.” said Belinda McKenzie Project Officer for the Virtual Shed Project,” she said.

“These checks are vital to the health and welling of our male residents in the short term and into the future as important and respected members of our community,” Belinda McKenzie said.

The van will be dropping by the following locations:

  • Saturday, May 7: White Park, Scone: 1:30pm – 4pm
  • Tuesday, May 10: White Park, Scone: 10am – 2pm
  • Wednesday, May 11: Rose Garden, Aberdeen: 9.30am – 11.30am
  • Wednesday, May 11: Wilson Memorial Park, Murrurundi: 2.30pm – 4pm
  • Thursday, May 12: Forecourt, Shire Building, Scone: 10am – 2pm
  • Saturday, May 14: Racecourse, Scone: 12pm – 2pm
