Easter Bunny Arrested

Filed in Recent News by March 24, 2016

TODAY was extremely busy in Scone local court, but there was a disturbance at the local police station just before lunch, with news that the Easter Bunny had been arrested on more than 100 counts of break and enter and more than 100 counts of trespass causing a paperwork and policing meltdown.

The rabbit was further charged with hinder police for refusing to give his age and address and was warned there would be bribery charges if he kept trying to give officers at the station chocolate eggs.

The arresting officers said he was generally uncooperative throughout the booking process including insisting on smiling during the mug shots and was difficult to paw print.

Fortunately Inspector Guy Guiana arrived at the Scone police station to release the rabbit and ensure all charges were dropped.

“There are special exemptions for the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy to enter homes without permission, but they need to be aware they can only exercise that privilege at proper times of the year,” said Inspector Guiana.

“The Easter Bunny is currently doing a reconnaissance of the Scone area in preparation for Easter Sunday and so all charges were dropped and he was released from the cell,” Guy Guiana said.
