All Shook Up
MORE than 100 school students from Scone Grammar are spending their Sundays practicing for their school musical All Shook Up.
Students from throughout primary and high school classes are participating, with the smaller students swelling the opening night numbers to more than 150 students.
The students have been practicing since the Christmas holidays, but the time frames are still tight according to Tori Saunders, music teacher at Scone Grammar School.
“It really is only six weeks, which isn’t a long time,” she Ms Saunders.
“But I feel much more relieved today and the last scene is looking good,” she said.
Ms Maria English is the drama teacher and said the students are performing well.
“I am optimistic for opening night,” said Ms English.
“They are the best cast in a long time because they listen to feedback and they laugh at my jokes,” she laughed.
Behind the scenes the art students have painted the set, Mr Jason Buckely, head of music is leading the band, Ms Wendy Thomas, head of the primary choir is making sure they are hitting thee right notes and two people from the Upper Hunter Conservatorium of music are lending a hand Jenelle French and Adam Wills.
The three performances only musical, is set to open on Thursday, March 3.
