This Idiot Right Here

COUNCIL has paid for a professional idiot to be in town tomorrow to entertain local children, under the guise of cultural enrichment, it may be just what many frayed parents and bored children need.

The self-described idiot, is comedian Sean Murphy, who has made people laugh all over the world and now hopes to make the children of Murrurundi, Scone and Merriwa laugh.

Comedian Sean Murphy will be entertaining local children in Murrurundi, Scone and Merriwa tomorrow.

“The show is a comedy, but very different to a typical stand-up routine,” said Mr Murphy.

“It’s all about getting the kids involved and crafting a whole new world – with a little help from this idiot right here,” Sean Murphy said.

The comedy performance is inspired seven years’ of working at birthday parties as every character from Shrek to Captain Feathersword and spills the secrets on how to summon fun in any setting.

“With a little nudge in the right direction, it’s amazing what stories and games kids can come up with,” Sean said.

“It proves their imaginations can beat anything on an iPad,” Sean Murphy said.

Sean Murphy has toured shows to the Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringes as well as the Melbourne Comedy Festival and Sydney Opera House.

This show is targeted at children aged 5 to 12, but can be enjoyed by anyone with a sense of humour.

Shows tomorrow will be:

• 10am at the RSL Hall, Mayne Street, Murrurundi;
• 1pm at Council Chambers, Liverpool Street, Scone and
• 3:30pm at the School of Arts, Bow Street, Merriwa.
