Accident at Parkville

AT approximately 5:15am emergency services were called to a single vehicle crash into a tree, on the New England Highway at Parkville.

There were two people in the vehicle, a man in his 20s who was trapped and sustained minor injuries and a woman in her 30s who has suffered pelvic injuries and is a critical condition.

The man was taken to the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scone and the woman will be taken to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle by road, with a critical care doctor and critical care paramedic.

Traffic in the area is slow.
