Veteran’s Golf Report: Oct 26

THIRTY veterans enjoyed the excellently presented Aberdeen Golf Club on Tuesday, October 26 for their stroke and putting event. The fairways, greens and rough were trimmed and the bunkers raked. Thank you to Paul Constable and all the wonderful volunteers.
Brett Dann won the stroke event with nett 68 while the putting wine, kindly donated by Aberdeen Sport and Recreation Club, went to Mick Reynolds with 26 putts C/B.
Second in the stroke event was Gary Morley 69, third Doug Dowell 70, fourth Dave Kerr 71 C/B and fifth Elie Raad 71 C/B.
Balls went to Tony Pearson, Mick Reynolds and Paul Constable 71, Robert Colbert and Graham Turvey 73 and on 74 Christine Constable and Terry Mitchell.
The best scratch score was recorded by Paul Constable with 79 off the stick.
The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Tommy Thompson (good to have you back Tommy).
Nearest the Pins: 4th Doug Dowell, 7th Tommy Thompson, 13th and 16th Paul Constable, 9th/18th President Paul Gorman.
