Covid case at Mount Pleasant
MACH Energy has confirmed there has been a contractor test positive to covid at their Mt Pleasant operation.
The contractor had had been working on the rail loop project and tested positive today.
A spokesperson from MACH said NSW Health is liaising with close contacts who will self-isolate for 14 days and be tested.
“Casual contacts of the one worker will be advised to undergo testing and remain isolated
until they receive a negative test result,” the spokesperson said.
“The site continues to follow this protocol (their covid-19 plan), which includes contact tracing and deep cleaning in and around the Rail Loop Construction area,” they said.
“All other operational activities, including mining, processing and train loading, continue as
normal,” said the spokesperson.
