What’s on: School holidays
NEXT week, the Scone Out of School Hours (SOOSH) will host its last ever school holiday program before St Nicholas OOSH takes over on July 12.

During the July school holidays, sport fanatics can attend netball and tennis clinics, inspired musicians can learn how to create and play a didgeridoo and those looking for some good old fashioned fun can see a free magic show in Muswellbrook.
Netball Holiday Clinic
What: For children aged between five and ten. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle and healthy snacks;
When: Wednesday, July 7 from 10am to 12pm;
Where: Scone Netball Association, Bill Rose Sporting Complex, Kingdon Street, Scone;
Cost: $25.50 per participant;

Tennis Camp
What: For ages four to fourteen. Develop tennis skills, drills, point and game play. Cricket, soccer and t-ball will also be thrown into the mix to help develop hand-eye coordination. Prices and competitions to be won.
When: Camp 1: June 28 to July 2 and Camp 2: July 5 to July 9. Ages four and five play from 9am to 10am and ages six through to fourteen play from 9am to 12pm;

Cost: Ages four and five cost $15 per day or $75 per weed and ages six through to fourteen cost $20 per day or $100 per week;

Indigenous Music Workshop
What: For ages ten to 17. Join local Budbudda Dreaming’s Richie Lawton and learn to create and play a didgeridoo and clapping stix. Discover the history of where they came from and when they were used. Lunch provided and bring your own drink;
When: Friday, July 2 from 9:30am to 2:30pm;

Magic Show
What: A free magic show with balloons and face painting. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer;

Scone Out Of School Hours (SOOSH) week one:
Art Attack
What: For children aged between five and twelve. Children can engage in several different art forms on this day including messy and crafty creations;
When: : Monday, June 28 from 8am to 6pm;

Cost: $65.00 per child per day. Late fees include $16 for the first 15 minutes after 6pm and $16 for each additional 15 minutes or part thereof;

Amazing Race
What: For children aged between five and twelve. Similar to the T.V show children will have the option to engage in numerous different obstacles and competitions through the soosh grounds.
