Ex-bikie to face local court today in Pullen case
BRADLEY Bowtell a 37 year old ex-president of the Newcastle City Nomads, will appear in Muswellbrook court today on charges of hindering police and two counts of concealing a serious indictable offence in relation to the death of New Zealand firefighter Ian Pullen.
Mr Bowtell was taken into police custody on Thursday and is the fifth person arrested in relation to the Mr Pullen’s death, after he was struck by a vehicle on September 29, 2018 on Carrington Street, Glenridding between 4am and 5:30am.
Police allege Joshua Knight aged 29 and Nicole Mason aged 30 were in the car which hit Mr Pullen and later returned to the scene to bash Mr Pullen to death.
Joshua Kinight and Nicole Mason were charged with murder in October last year.
Ivy-Jean Ward aged 27 and Lilli-Jane Kaye Saless aged 21 were charge with accessory after the fact to murder, with police alleging they helped conceal the vehicle and attempted to divert police attention.
Police investigated Mr Bowtell following his romantic relationship to Ms Ward.
Mr Bowtell will also appear in relation to contravening a serious crime prevention order, which was issued by the NSW Supreme Court in 2018 to prevent him from associating with other members of the Nomads.
