Breakfast bites with the Easter Bunny
THE Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre (SNRC) Morning Bites Breakfast Van returned this week with special guest helper, the Easter Bunny.
Located on Liverpool Street, the breakfast van is open from 7:30am to 9:00am Monday to Friday, so students can get a free bite to eat on their way to school.
Lee Watts, SNRC Manager said the Bite’s Breakfast Van team are happy to be back after a period of heavy rainfall last week.
“Last week we had to cancel Morning Bites due to all of the rain, so it’s lovely to be able to return this week, ” Ms Watts said.
“Breakfast is such an important meal, especially for kids who are about to spend a day learning,” she said.
“Those who drop by tomorrow may be able to catch the Easter Bunny, before he starts giving out Easter eggs this weekend,” she said.
The Breakfast Van is a community driven service and relies on donations as well as volunteers to help prepare and serve the breakfast.
If you would like to volunteer and are available at 7.30am to 9.00am one morning a week, fortnight or months please contact the Neighbourhood Centre on 6545 2562.
