Free movie night under the stars

THE Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre (SNRC) is providing quality entertainment for Scone families with a free movie night under the stars at Scone Park on Friday, January 22.

The family friendly PG movie ‘Here Comes the Grump’ will be showcased on a six metre inflatable screen and refreshments will be available to purchase onsite.

SNRC Manager Lee Watts said the movie night is a great opportunity for the community to come together after missing out on the 2020 Christmas in the Park event. 

“Staff from the Neighbourhood Centre were disappointed that they couldn’t bring the Christmas in the Park event in December due to Covid,” said Ms Watts.

“We really encourage families to bring food, drinks, blankets, chairs and beanbags and to sit back, relax and enjoy the free movie,”  she said.

“We would like to thank Community Underwriting for partnering with our service to make this possible”.

 Gates will open at 7pm, with the movie starting as soon as it gets dark.

The SNRC is a Registered Covid Safe business and will be following all health guidelines for the event.
