Extra time for junior judges
THE Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza Committee has extended the Virtual Junior Judging Competition until Friday, November 20.
The two-week extension will allow more students to participate in the competition whilst they finish the busy school year school, full of exams, presentation nights and graduations.
There is $1,000 worth of Cattle Shop vouchers up for grabs and prize money for the winners of each age group.
Winners will be announced on Friday, December 4.

Prize list:
Individual awards
- Grand Champion Junior Judge receives a scholarship to the Tocal Beef Assessment Course, donated by the Upper Hunter Angus Breeders Association;
- First Age Champion winner receives $100;
- Second Age Champion winner receives $75;
- Third Age Champion winner receives $50;
- Fourth Age Champion winner receives $25;
- Highly Commended Ribbons Awarded up to tenth place.
School awards
- Small schools participation award – $250 gift voucher to the Cattle Shop;
- Large schools participation awards – $250 gift voucher to the Cattle Shop;
- Highest point scoring school based on the top five students -$500 gift voucher to the Cattle Shop.
