Westpac Rescue Tasked to Murrurundi
AT approximately midday on Saturday September 5, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to Murrurundi Hospital to assist Ambulance New South Wales in treating a 71-year-old male suffering from a serious cardiac condition.
Local ambulance paramedics arrived at a remote property in Timor to commence treatment of the male, before transporting him to Murrurundi Hospital.
The Helicopter Critical Care Medical team rendezvoused with the patient and stabilised the man before flying him to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, in a serious but stable condition.
The male will undergo further specialist treatment.
