Premier: Record Number of Tests Encouraging

MORE than 400,000 tests for covid-19 have been conducted in New South Wales and the Premier has urged more people to come forward and retest each time you have even the mildest symptoms, to ensure any cases are identified early to stop community transmission.

“As we restart the economy people need to get tested even if they are showing even the smallest of signs and if you are unwell stay at home,” Premier Gladys Berejiklian said.

“Also when leaving the house we urge you to be conscious of what you are doing when leaving the house and always practicing social distancing,” the Premier said.

Health Update

• 3,084 cases of covid-19
• 3 new cases identified
• 8,611 people have been tested in the last 24 hours
• 1 death of an 80 year old female at Concord Hospital, who was exposed to Covid-19 in an outpatient clinic.

The three new cases were locally acquired and still under investigation. St Ignatius Riverview has no new cases and the school is closed for cleaning.

Planning System Acceleration Program

A second round of round of projects has been announced including 24 projects, $5.37 billion, creating 15,000 new jobs, 3,500 new homes, 3 schools, a new hospital in Taree and upgrades to the Sydney Fish Markets.
