Veteran’s Golf Report: February 11
By Graham Turvey
Eleven Vets played a stableford event at Murrurundi Golf Club on Tuesday, February 11 and as usual were organised expertly into their groups by their captain Phil Ledgerwood for the game. The pies for lunch were delicious too.
Phil also did best on the greening-up golf course to win with 31 points. Second was Milton Reid 28 and third Graham Huggins 27 C/B.
Balls went to George Campbell 27, Gary Gray 25 and Howie Lane and Terry Mitchell 24.
The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Graham Turvey for the second week in a row.
Nearest the Pin: 3rd/12th hole (you guessed it) Phil Ledgerwood.
