Veteran’s Golf Report: Dec 17

SEVENTEEN veterans played their stableford event at Denman Golf Club on Tuesday, December 17 for Christmas Prizes on the forecast coolest day of the week. Denman’s greens are excellent despite the local dam water being prioritised for fire-fighting, if needed, over golf course maintenance.

Greg Squires blitzed the field to win with 46 points from Graham Boles 40 C/B 2^nd, Graham Huggins 40 3^rd and Martin Byrne 4^th 38.

Balls went to Terry Mitchell 36, Brian Dever 35, Gary Morley and Gary Ashmead 34 and Rod Upton and Buzz Pascoe 33.

The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Captain Phil Ledgerwood.
