Scone Cup Holiday – Your Say

EACH year the Upper Hunter Shire Council asks for community submissions on the holiday arrangements for the Scone Cup, which will be held on Friday, May 15 next year.

Submissions can be made in writing or in an online survey and close on December 24.

Public holiday options for Scone Cup 2020 are:

• No holiday;
• A local event day – no penalty rates apply unless agreed at an individual workplace level; or
• A part day public holiday – noon to 6pm which would reduce the burden on local businesses particularly those in hospitality; or
• A half day public holiday from noon.

The survey asks respondents to choose their preferred holiday arrangements for the 2020 Scone Cup.

Previously, the holiday arrangements have applied across the Shire, except for the Merriwa and Cassilis district.
