Veteran’s Golf Report: August 27

TWENTY-THREE veterans played a stroke and putting event at Aberdeen Golf Club under ideal mild conditions, although we missed captain Phil and treasurer Bob, on Tuesday, August 27. We hope Brian Dever is feeling better soon after having to go home ill during his round.
Doug Dowell did best with nett 64 from Graham Boles 2nd 66 C/B from Tony Pearson 3rd 66 and Lindsay Hodge 4th 67.
Balls went to Les Brown and Gary Morley 70 and on 71 Peter Daunton, Terry Mitchell, Rod Upton, Ross Banks and Jock O’Connor.
The best scratch score was recorded by Ross Banks with 79. The putting wine kindly donated by Aberdeen Sporting and Recreation Club was won by Terry Mitchell with 26 putts C/B.
The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Bruce Robinson.

- September 17: at Aberdeen stroke and putting on;

Please note that now that winter is over the starting time at Muswellbrook will be 8.30 am.
