THERE were 1,050 cattled penned at the Scone saleyards.
The market was fairly firm on last week.
There were not as many cows, but the plain cows were firm to slightly cheaper, but the good cows were dearer by five or ten cents.
There were a lot of yearling cattle and a few lighter weaner cattle.
Good finished cattle were firm to five cents cheaper, but not as many good cattle as the previous week.
Feeder steers and heifers were five to eight cents cheaper.
Light weaner cattle were fully firm.
There were some good lines of weaner heifers penned which sold quite well.
