Veteran’s Golf Report: June 18

Under threatening skies, 27 Vets played a stroke and putting event at Aberdeen Golf Club on Tuesday, June 18. Unfortunately it did not rain.

Jeff McKeon beat Tony Pearson narrowly on a count-back with the very good scores of nett 63, from Robert Colbert 3^rd 65, Peter Daunton 4^th 66 and Graham Huggins 5^th 76.

Balls went to Jim Elder and Christine Smith 70, Gary Morley and Les Brown 71, Graham Guest, Col Solway and Graham Boles 72, Red Palmer 73 and President Paul Gorman and Treasurer Bob Minch 74.

The putting wine, kindly donated by Aberdeen Recreation Club, was won by Terry Mitchell with 27 putts. Best Scratch Score: Bob Colbert with 80 C/B.

The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Tommy Thompson.
