Scone Stock Report: June 11
By Stuart Sheldrake
There were 793 cattle penned at the Scone sales today.
There were not many cows and on quality they were probably 3 to 5 cents cheaper.
A very good penning of yearling cattle and finished cattle saw yearling heifers weighing 300 to 360 kilos sold to firm rates, on last week’s market.
However, trade cattle were 20 cents cheaper, feeder steers were also 20 cents cheaper with a buyer out of the market.
Young steer weaners were fully firm and heifers were a bit cheaper.
There was a very good quality penning of young cattle.
