Escapee Found in Muswellbrook

THE 26 year old man who escaped police custody on Wednesday in Singleton was captured by police at approximately 6pm on Friday at a hotel in Muswellbrook.

He was arrested, with a 25 year old woman and taken to Muswellbrook Police Station following an extensive search involving local police officers, PolAir and the dog unit.

The woman was released and thee man was charged with the outstanding warrants and escape police custody.

The man was refused bail on Saturday.
