Bypass Update Tonight – More Truck Movements
TONIGHT Daracon and the Roads and Maritime Services will provide an update to residents on the Scone bypass at the Council Chambers.
Shay Riley-Lewis, community liaison for Daracon said she will provide an update on what will be happening during the next month.
“In August there will be work on the water main and sewerage and we’ll start to set up the lay down areas near Kelly Street and St Aubin’s so that the girders can come through in October,” said Ms Riley-Lewis.
“There will also be truck movements down Liverpool Street to bring the fill to site over the next two months,” she said.
“There will be approximately 120 truck movements per day, so 60 in and 60 out coming from the north carting material from Ardglen,”she said.
“Originally we planned for it to go straight onto the route alignment at the northern interchange, but there is a great deal of underground services at the northern interchange which is taking more time to relocate, so the northern access has been delayed a little bit,” she said.
“While it is dry around St Aubin’s we want to get the fill to site so we will use Liverpool Street for that access during the next eight weeks,” she said.
“Last time some community members wanted more information on air quality monitoring and flooding, so we’ll have some information on that too,” said Shay Riley-Lewis.
There will also be a presentation on the Bulahdelah bypass and an update on the Kelly Street redevelopment.
