Stock Report: June 12
By Stuart Sheldrake
THERE were 557 cattle yarded today at the Scone sale yards, probably due to the long weekend and a bit of a shower over the weekend, but also just running out of cattle in the area.
There were not a lot of cows about, but what was about was a fairly plain yarding.
The best of the cows got to about $1.80, similar to last week, however the rest of the trade cattle on what was a fairly plain offering there were a handful of calves that sold to dearer rates.
All in all the trade market was probably a bit brighter on the back of lower numbers.
I’d see the sales being fairly similar in coming weeks in terms of numbers.
