Going the Extra Mile

“I possibly should have twigged by the fact that I was sitting next to the managing director of the company,” said Rachael McGuirk, the 2018 winner of the Helloworld NSW and ACT manager of the year and national manager of the year.

Rachael McGuirk won National Manager of the Year and NSW Manager of the Year for 2018, last week.

Rachael has been working in travel for 18 years and from Scone competed with more than 1,000 offices throughout Australia to takeout the awards last week in Adelaide.

“I don’t like travel, I love it,” said Ms McGuirk.

“It’s helping other people achieve their dreams for some people it is a short trip to Sydney and for others it is cruising around the world or doing a walking tour in Cuba, so you are seeing and hearing about places all over the world all the time,” she said.

“You just do your job everyday and hope you are doing a good job,” Rachael McGuirk said.

Rachael was described in her nomination as being an agent who constantly goes above and beyond to ensure clients travel to the other side of the world with the utmost confidence they will return having enjoyed the holiday of their dreams.
