Millie Fisher: 2018 Horse Festival Young Achiever

LAST night 17 year old Millie Fisher was announced as the 2018 Scone Horse Festival Young Achiever.

Millie is a highly talented young show jumper who has been competitive at the highest levels of Junior competition in Australia for several years.

She is the current Sydney Junior Champion, Hunter Valley Junior Champion, won both Super Junior classes at the 2017 Waratah Championships and is Reserve 2018 NSW Junior Indoor Champion.

In 2015 aged 14 she became the youngest ever winner of the Malcolm Slater Memorial Trophy at the Bega Showjumping Cup.

She represented Australia officially in 2016., when 3 juniors were selected to ride in a borrowed pony team event in South Korea.

She represented NSW in their winning team against New Zealand on a borrowed horse event in November 2017.

In December 2017 she competed at the Cavan International horse Show in Ireland and with her team mate Maleah Lang-McMahon won the International Team Challenge for Australia, again on borrowed horses.

Millie is a member of both the NSW Junior Development Squad and the NSW Young Rider Development Squad.

Unfortunately, Millie Fisher will not be able to ride in the Horse Parade tomorrow as she is competing in an event in Queensland and has nominated Charlie Richardson to ride in her place.
