Scone Golf Report: April 5-9

The Scone golf ladies played the second Monthly Medal for a Melanie’s Jewellers Trophy on Thursday, April 5 at Muswellbrook. Lyn Banks narrowly won the medal with 71 nett from Jo Brown on 73 nett. On Saturday, April 7, Stacey Dykes had a fine round of 68 nett to win the Muswellbrook competition.

On Monday, April 9 in the fourth round of the Hunter River District pennant Scone played Singleton at Branxton and lost narrowly 3 and ½ to 2 and ½. Julie Leckie and Kerry McLennan both had good wins, whilst Lyn Banks managed a squared match. On April 16 Scone will play Cessnock at Singleton.

A good contingent of seven Scone ladies will support Aberdeen Open on Wednesday April 11 in the first open day of the season. The men players can look forward to two local open days on April 22 at Denman and April 29 at Aberdeen.
