Veteran’s Golf: February 27

Thank you to head green keeper Brad for having the greens beautifully trimmed on Tuesday, February 27 for the 28 Vets who played a stableford event at Muswellbrook after the welcomed rain. The volunteers, like Les Cope also do a very professional job in keeping the course in top condition.

Christine Smith did best with 40 points from Ross Banks 2^nd 37, Lyn banks 3^rd 35 C/B and 4^th President Bruce Robinson 35.

In the ball comp balls went to Les Brown and Rod Auld 33, Terry Mitchell and Lindsay Hodge 32, Jock O’Connor and Graham Boles 31, Brian Dever and George T Smith 30 and Emil Battista and Treasurer Bob Minch 29.

The Bradman trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Red Palmer.

Nearest the Pins: 5^th Emil Battista; 8^th Lyn Banks; 11^th and 17^th Bruce Robinson; 14^th Terry Mitchell.

The Week of Golf will be played in March from Monday, 19^th till Friday, 23^rd at Muswellbrook. Contact Bruce Robinson asap as entries close at the end of Feb.

• March 13 – stroke and putting at Aberdeen;
• March 20, 27 and
• April 3 Stablefords at Denman.

Hit-offs for all games by 8.00 am, shot-gun starts.
