Plenty of Candidates
ON Friday the ballot was drawn for candidates standing in the New England bi-election.
A total of 17 candidates have thrown their hat in the ring, a marked increase compared to the 10 candidates at the last election.
On the ballot paper for the federal election of the house of representatives requires voters are required to fill in each of the 17 boxes for their vote to be valid and the Australian Election Commission has developed a practice voting tool in an effort to make more people aware of how to cast a valid vote.
During the lead up to the election scone.com.au will contact each candidate to report on their policies and vision for the electorate. If you have a specific question you’d like to put to the candidates please let us know: Contact Us.
