Neighbourhood Prepares for Christmas
THERE are only 10 Mondays until Christmas and the team at the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre are busily preparing for Christmas at White Park.
Lee Watts, manager of the SNRC said they were excited the event has proved popular with the community and are looking forward to this year.
“I am someone who loves Christmas and it is great to have a community event where we can all come together to celebrate,” said Mrs Watts.
“There is so much activity, lots of local families and loads of children running around having fun and that is what makes Christmas really special,” she said.
“This year we will be holding the event in White Park instead of Elizabeth Park, where there is more space and we will be able to have a fireworks display by McDonald’s which will be great,” she said.
“There will be market stalls, live music, ham raffles, BBQ, loads of other food and drinks stalls, a visit from Santa, loads of entertainment for the kids jumping castle, face painting, playland castle, carnival slide, swing rides, egg and spoon races and games for the children and so much more.
“Entry is free and children can have unlimited rides for just $5,” she said.
“We really are looking forward to Christmas this year,” Lee Watts said.
Lee is also looking for more stall holders and volunteers who can help make Christmas great for the community.
