Free Family Fun
THE popular Free Family Fun Day will be held again in October this year.
Lee Watts, manager of the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre said the day was a great way for local families to have some fun without having to put their hand in their pockets.
“Keeping children entertained is always a challenge, but finding activities you can do as a family that doesn’t cost money is even more challenging and it can be tough making ends meet as a young family,” said Mrs Watts.
“So the family fun day is always popular and we are excited to hold it again this year,” she said.
“There will be storytelling, craft, face painting, a clown, soccer darts, an obstacle course, music and coloured hairspray.
“Local emergency services will also be there so that children can meet local police, fire and ambulance people in a fun environment and be comfortable with them if they ever need them in an emergency situation,” she said.
“All activities are free including a sausage sizzle for lunch,” Lee Watts said.
