Thirty Vets played a stroke event on the yellow course at Muswellbrook on Tuesday, August 15 in combination with the first round of their annual Championships. Thank you to the staff who put out the tee markers. Get well soon George Smith.
Brian White did best with nett 62 from Les Brown 2nd 65, 3rd was Jim Coward 66, 4th Bob Thorley 67 and 5th Bob Fry 68 C/B.
Balls went to Gary Gray and Milton Reid 68, Graham Boles, Terry Mitchell, Graham Guest and Ross Banks 69 and Gary Gray, Phil Ledgerwood, Rod Upton and Ken Thornton 70.
Nearest the Pins: 5th Ken Thornton, 8th Jock O’Connor, 11th Jim Coward, 14th Lyn Banks, 17th Gary Morley.
In the Championships, in A Grade Ross Banks leads by 3 shots from Phil Ledgerwood and then by two more to Terry Mitchell and Jim Coward.
In B Grade Brian White leads by 1 shot to Bob Fry and then by 4 more to Ken Thornton and Graham Boles.
In C Grade Les Brown leads by 3 shots to Milton Reid and then one more to Rod Upton.
