On the 8th May 2017 scone.com.au published an article titled “Arson that Could Have Killed”.
Scone.com.au concedes that the article in part contained false and defamatory imputations that Waid Crockett, the General Manager of Upper Hunter Shire Council, utilised Council resources to discredit Liam Garment and otherwise engaged in inappropriate conduct.
Scone.com.au further concedes that there was no proper basis for these imputations.
Scone.com.au apologises for any hurt and distress occasioned to Mr Crockett and his family.
