Scone Stock Report May 23
There was 1230 cattle penned this week in a very similar yarding to last week with most of the yarding made up of weaners and vealers.
200 export cattle were of a plainer offering and sold firm to slightly cheaper rates due to quality, no bullocks really penned, veal bullocks reached $2.85.
The majority of the yarding waere weaners and vealers and they sold to firm rates on the week before, weaner heifers making up to $3.80 and weaner black steers making up to $4.40 for lightweight calves and crossbreds up to $3.85.
There were a few more yearling type cattle here yesterday and they sold to firm rates also.
Tomorrow, Friday May 25 the Hunter Valley Angus Breeders Female sale is on starting at 12pm with approximately 1200 head on offer.
