Community Goes Under the Hammer
TO continue to provide community services the Scone Community Resource Centre needs a new place to call home.
To help fund the move the Centre will hold a skills auction on February 18 and encourage people to book a table.
“The office space we currently rent has no room for growth and without new services that are able to generate income the service will have to reduce its opening days,” said Mrs Watts.
“A new building will provide many opportunities to expand the services we already offer to the community and will allow the service to invite additional outreach services to the area,” she said.
“This would generate much needed income to continue a five day a week service,” she said.
“Funds raised will assist the service to purchase a new building or relocate to another venue so that we can continue to provide existing services and add new programs for the people in this community,” Lee Watts said.
