Allan Bridge Reopened

THE Allan Bridge, between Glenbawn and Segenhoe reopened to traffic yesterday.

The heritage bridge was closed on November 19 following damage believed to have been caused by an oversized vehicle exceeding the four tonne limit.

New timber has replaced the damage sections and general maintenance was also undertaken.

The heritage bridge which was constructed in 1955 and is one of only two known trussed cable suspension bridges in New South Wales capable of carrying road traffic.
